Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Toolbox Ministries (“Toolbox,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information across toolboxministries.com and the Toolbox Ministries mobile app. If you have any questions, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account (on the website or in the app) we collect your name, email address, and, if you provide it, a phone number.
Event and ministry activity. We keep a record of the events you register for, whether you attended, your check-in status, and your position on any waitlist, along with the Toolbox site/city that activity is associated with.
Guest information. If you invite someone to an event through the app or website, we collect that person’s name and email address so we can register them and send them event communications.
Push notification token (app only). If you enable notifications in the app, we store a device token used solely to deliver those notifications to your device.
Website forms. If you submit our contact form or join our email list, we collect the information you provide (typically name and email).
We do not collect your device’s GPS location, and the app does not include any third-party advertising or analytics tracking tools.
How We Use Your Information
To operate the app and website. We use your account and event information to create and manage your account, process event registrations, run check-in and waitlists, send transactional emails and push notifications (such as event reminders or confirmations), and respond when you contact us for support.
For communications and marketing. Your name and email are synced to our email marketing platform, Mailchimp, so we can send newsletters and event announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
Who We Share Your Information With
Mailchimp. We use Mailchimp as our email service provider. Mailchimp receives your name, email address, and tags related to your event/site interests so it can send communications on our behalf. Mailchimp acts as our data processor and does not use your information for its own purposes. See Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy.
Expo (push notifications). If you use the app, your device’s push token is sent to Expo’s push notification service solely to deliver notifications to your device through Apple’s or Google’s own notification systems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see below), we remove or de-identify your personal information as described. We may retain a de-identified record that an event took place and how many people attended, for ministry recordkeeping purposes, even after an account is deleted — that record is no longer connected to your name or contact information.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account and personal data at any time from Settings inside the Toolbox Ministries app. When you do:
- Your name, email, phone number, and any profile photo are permanently removed from our systems and replaced with a generic placeholder.
- Any upcoming event registrations are canceled.
- Your push notification token and login sessions are removed, so the app stops sending you notifications.
- Your Mailchimp marketing profile is unsubscribed and stripped of your name.
Past event attendance history is kept in de-identified form, as described above. You can also request account deletion by emailing us at the address below.
Your Choices
You can choose which categories of push notifications you receive from the app’s notification settings. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
Children’s Privacy
Our app and website are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
