Toolbox West Lunch with Damon West

Sentenced to sixty-five years in A Texas prison, Damon West once had it all.

Damon West is a college professor, and three-time Wall Street Journal bestselling author whose extraordinary story of transformation has inspired audiences around the world. Once a Division I starting quarterback with a promising future, Damon lost his way to addiction and was sentenced to sixty-five years in a Texas prison. During more than seven years behind bars, he discovered a simple but life-changing truth: like a coffee bean transforming boiling water, one person can change the environment around them rather than be changed by it.

Today, Damon shares that message of resilience, leadership, and hope with Fortune 500 companies, professional and collegiate sports teams, schools, and organizations across the country. His bestselling book The Coffee Bean has become a powerful framework for creating positive change, even in the toughest circumstances. Through honesty, wisdom, and hard-earned experience, Damon challenges others to rise above adversity, lead with character, and leave every place better than they found it.
